Purchased water Marumochiya at Marumochiya near Fushimi Inari, Kyoto. 1180 yen for 3 pieces. I picked up fallen leaves and acorns near my house to color the autumn. Marumochiya has a smooth texture, and when you put it in your mouth, it melts like water and disappears. It was a delicious Japanese sweet that goes well with black honey and soybean flour.

Delicious warabi mochi at a registered tangible cultural property shop. Once you step inside, the space spreads out as if you were transported back in time. As you walk down the corridor, you can see a splendid garden through the windows, and the finest warabi mochi, flower warabi, and roasted green tea, served in a splendid mansion steeped in history.

It's enjoyable to roll and grill the rice dumplings on Shichirin clay stove by myself. The lovely rice dumplings are while one and green (yomogi) mugwort one. After it's grilled enough, put the mitarashi (sweet soy sauce) sauce or sweet azuki bean jam on them. The beautiful garden is one of the attractions, too.

At a shop near Fushimi Inari Taisha, you can eat cute sweets while walking around. In spring, the cherry blossoms are lined up in the middle and are very cute. The Japanese sweets in the center change depending on the season, but spring is the best.

Amairo is a shop of coffee and Taiyaki (fish-shaped cake with filling inside). Their most-seller 'Coffee Set 500 yen' has one Taiyaki with azuki-bean jam, or custard, or mix of these inside, and a cup of tasty coffee. It's located at a back alley which makes me want to take breath.

I had Gion Komori's Matcha Warabimochi and Kinako Warabimochi. Warabimochi made from 100% bracken starch is smooth and chewy. Sprinkle black honey if you like.

A cute Taiyaki-san who is particular about bean paste, dough, sardines and butter. I like bean paste, so choose it. 390yen It seems to be the most popular. My friend is Banana Custard 350yen. Be careful that the butter melts because the butter is left behind. Even the dough was too delicious.

Itoken sou / sou Kyoto Shimizu store has opened. You can take out cute Japanese sweets and drinks. It is also good for sightseeing and eating out. Kushiwa sweets are high quality sweets carefully made by craftsmen one by one. There are many photogenic menus such as amber soda that you can drink with Churun. I have a feeling that it will become popular in the future.

The sweet shop is at Sannen zaka slope which leads to Kiyomizu temple. The Mitarashi dango (a dumpling covered with kuzu sauce seasoned with soy sauce and sugar) is good for people tired from walking on the slope. Because it is not big, I can eat 5 sticks. And a fresh warm one is exceptional.

A Japanese cafe opening in Kyoto in November. Pancake-style dorayaki served in a storehouse that is a registered tangible cultural property of the country, and Japanese black tea ordered from all over Japan. The inside of the storehouse, which is like a hideout at the back of an alley, is a Japanese space with only 8 seats at the counter. The dorayaki that is baked right in front of the counter is freshly baked and fluffy. It's full of volume with 4 layers sandwiched with red bean paste.

Demachi Futaba is most famous as to Mame-mochi in Kyoto! Lots of koshi-an and red peas wrapped in mochi, 'Meidai Mame-mochi' is very delicious for its good balances of softness of mochi, sweetness of an and salty peas! It's well-received as Kyoto souvenir and people always make a line in front of the shop.
