Koga Fireworks Festival

I introduce this summer's most moving fireworks display in Koga! It's finale was emblazoned by 'Saishoku Senrin' a kind of Japanese skyrocket. It was shot off in the sky far above the Koga town, and the thousands of small flowers blooming in the night sky are awesome! Please come to see them on this spot next year!

Roppongi Hills Sky Deck is the highest open-air observation place in Japan. From the observatory with cool heliport we often see in TV, you can enjoy the scenery of urban sunset that dyes the city orange.◎Entrance fee: inside observatory 1800yen, and you need extra fee 500yen to the open-air observatory (Sky Deck). You can buy 300yen discount ticket at convenient stores.

Gotokuji Temple is known as a birthplace of Beckoning Cat (Maneki-neko: cat ornament able to bring good lucks together). There're so many Beckoning Cats that had brought lucks and been dedicated back to the temple. I wonder how many lucks they brought! I think I can receive a share of happiness, and it's a must see spot for cat-loving people.◎You can buy Beckoning Cat at a temple office (9:00-17:00). And you're lucky if you can ride or see the Beckoning Cat Train of Tokyu Setagaya Line (nearest station: Miyanosaka), because there's only one train with a illustration of cat.

Though pictures are prohibited, Ōya Kan'non is a thousand-armed Kannon carved in in stone. There're 10 Magai-butsu (images of Buddha carved in stone walls) which are oldest in Japan, and all of them are nation's historic sites. It's really surprising that they're carved in the ancient Horizontal Stone Chamber. Admission fees: 400 yen. Access: 25 min by bus from JR Utsunomiya Station, then 1 min walk. By car, 10 min from Utsunomiya IC.
