A scenic spot of autumn leaves and deer. I went there for the first time, but there are more deer than I imagined. I was surprised to walk normally on the general road. I thought he was greeting me by shaking his head up and down, but it seems that it means give me deer rice crackers. I was healed by the wonderful scenery and the cute deer.

Himuro Shrine in Nara Prefecture, you can draw an 'Ice Oracle (Kori Mikuji)' that is rare for other shrines. Putting the white paper on ice... Wow!? The letters are appearing! Let's have an exciting experience. ◎They sell the ordinary oracle, but only 'Ice Oracle' can appear the letters. Be careful not to buy the other one.

Impressive atmosphere of brick building. It was built more than 100 years ago, and it's the only one existing among 'five great prisons in Meiji Period'. It was used actually up to a few months ago, and will leave the old and good parts to be used for a historical hall from now on.◎Rebuilt for quake-proof engineering, it will become a hotel and historical hall around 2020. You can't enter the building, but only the gate and wall are impressive!

Horiuchi Fruit Shop

3 Reviews

It's a café under the direct management of a fruit farm in Yoshino, Nara. I recommend their fruit sandwich firstly. The fruit is delicious of course, the bread of brown sugar and the cream not too sweet are excellent!◎You can eat both for here and to go. They sell fruit and dry fruit, too. Open: 10:00~19:00, no regular holidays.

Mentoan

2 Reviews

Arrived in about 5 minutes on foot from Kintetsu Nara Station. Udon shop where you can line up Mentouan's specialty is this reverse kitsune udon, "Kinchaku kitsune". When you break the sweet purse-aged fried tofu cooked with soup stock, you will find delicious udon noodles that are chewy. It also has a curry flavor. You can also take out, so it's also a souvenir from Nara.
