It's one of the sites of Kyo's (Kyoto's) Star Festival, which has been held eight times until this year. The bamboo leaves in the illuminated precinct are fantastic. You can enjoy quiet and cool atmosphere of summer.◎Kyo's Star Fastival is held on the lunar day of star festival. During the festival, various events are carried out at this shrine.

Kitano Tenman-gu Shrine 'Momiji Garden' is well known as a beautiful place of scarlet maple leaves. There're about 350 trees of around 400 years old and the new green sceneries make people feel quiet and refreshed in May.

A plum blossom garden of Kitano Tenman-gu Shrine which is now in best time to see. There're beautiful plum blossoms in red, pink and white in the large garden. We can enjoy its illumination at holidays' night. Admission fee for 800 yen contains also a cake with tea.

Sugawara-no Michizane is a god of study.
