Takami-no Sato

As many as 1,000 weeping cherry trees are in bloom at Mt. Takami in Higashiyoshino, Nara. A minibus will take you to the top of the mountain. If you take a breathless climb up the long stairs to the observatory at the top, you will see a magnificent weeping cherry tree in front of you. The opening period is from the beginning of April to the end of April. It is a spectacular cherry blossom viewing spot worth seeing.

Namego Valley

4 Reviews

Namego Valley is famous for the autumn colors though, in spring, the mountain cherry blossoms bloom and look like a pink dragon. We're moved with the scenery like the dragon rising to the sky.

Hanayagura Observatory (Yoshino Mountain)

The sea of clouds changes its size and form every day, so you can see the various stunning view whenever you visit!◎I recommend to see Kinpusen Temple from Hanayagura Observatory! 3 min by rope way from Kintetsu Yoshino Station ( rope way opening season: 3/24-5/6, other season are undecided). 30 min by bus from rope way Yoshinoyama Station.

Matabē Zakura Cherry Blossom

4 Reviews

Matabē Zakura has become famous since it used in NHK's TV series. It's a weeping cherry blossom tree as tall as over 10 meters! What's more, can you believe that the tree is 300 years old! When we look up from its foot, the cherry blossoms are really amazing! There're also other flowers like daffodil around the tree, so we can see beautiful yellow and pink scenery.

Ryuogabuchi Pond

2 Reviews

If you visit at night, you can see many stars all over the night sky. In a good condition, you may see the Milky Way with the naked eye. What's more, during the windless daytime, there're reflections of the beautiful nature on the pond.◎Be careful if you visit here at night, the way is bad and dark. Though it's located deep in the mountain, don't trouble other people. And, when you use lights, please take others into consideration and have good manners.

Murou Art Forest

2 Reviews

Preparing against the landslide, Murou Art Forest is a park designed by world's famous sculptor Dani Karavan. I could feel the greatness of nature, seasons, and the current of time from head to foot.◎The brochure will be useful to get how to access. But some roads are narrow. I saw people coming by micro bus, so it's impossible to use a bigger bus.

'Cause there're many benches, it's nice for you to bring lunches and enjoy amazing hiking!◎The best season is the middle of May. In 2018, it'll be a little earlier.
