Many famous tourist spots become snow landscape in Kyoto. But, Keage Incline hardly ever be covered with snow, and its snow landscape can be seen only when it snows so much. So, I was very excited to be able to take this pictures.

Eikando Zenrin-ji

Although Eikando could be very crowded with many tourists in the season of autumn leaves, you can see around calmly now in the fresh greens for there're fewer visitors. In the precinct of Eikando, you must see the beautifully curved Garyu-ro (Hallway Of Lying Dragon: named after its ceiling which is similar to a dragon's back).

I enjoyed strawberry afternoon tea at Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto. The lounge moved to the second floor after renewal construction is very spacious. Their sweets and savories use many strawberries, and many kinds of drinks.

Cheka

Cheka is an European confectionery shop located at the side of Nijo Street. On the fluffy shaved ice, homemade custard and caramel syrup are topped. And there's soft pudding inside of it.

Nanzenji Sando KIKUSUI

Restaurant and tea room of Nanzenji Sando KIKUSUI was renewed in May 2018. The elegant afternoon tea of compromise between Japanese and Western styles is reservation only. We can have a good relaxing time while gazing at a wonderful Japanese garden.

Ōtoyo Shrine

1 Reviews

Ōtoyo Shrine, located on the Tetsugaku-no Michi (Road of Philosophy), has a rare stone guardian mouse, and it's popular to visit here in the Year of the Mouse (one of the twelve zodiac signs in Japan). It's very lovely with a camellia flower on its head. You can find also fox, bird and snake here. We should visit this shrine specially in this year 2020.

I visited Nanzenji Temple, a popular spot for autumn leaves, and Tenju-an Temple, which has two beautiful gardens, in kimono. The autumn leaves in the eastern garden were in full bloom, and it was a magnificent view that you could see forever while sitting on the porch. Another wonderful view that sighs is the autumn leaves in the south garden, which looks like a painting, cut out by the window frame of the Shoin. When I raised my face to buy a ticket at the entrance, I jumped into my eyes first and was fascinated.

Exhibited for two years, 'Glass Tea House' is coming to end on 9/10 in 2017. The tea house and the benches are all made of glass, and they look beautiful in the light. What is more, the contrast with the outside view is wonderful. If you haven't seen it yet, hurry up!◎null
