According to one theory, this shrine enshrined Toyotama-hime who is a grandmother of the first Japanese Emperor Kammu, and known as a god for an easy delivery of baby. The scenery from the shrine is nice and cats living in Ogi-jima Island will give you a balm.◎A small hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. Whenever you visit, cats are napping here. You can arrive the shrine eventually when you walk around the Ogi Island without searching for, because there're some signboards all over the community.

Ogi-jima Island Lighthouse is unpainted and made from high quality 'Aji Stone' mined in Kagawa. It's selected as one of the 50 best lighthouses in Japan. The beautiful Seto Inland Sea makes the symbol of Ogi Island more attractive.◎Access: 15 min by bicycle from Oji Port. You can go on foot, too. On the way to the lighthouse, you can see the nice view of Setouchi.

There's an observatory standing alone in the lush greens you finally arrive after 15 or 20 minutes mountain-walking. How to get there

Ogi-jima Island in Seto Inland Sea has many narrow and tangled slopes like a maze. Let's go ahead in adventure mood and see the photogenic arts exhibited in the old houses in the island.◎During the term of Triennial, Passport for arts is convenient, too. Out of the term, you can enter each art for ¥300. Photos permitted, enjoy taking photos collaborating with the art in these mysterious rooms.

An art work 'Memory Bottle' stuffed photos of islanders in Ogijima, is exhibited like an illumination inside a small warehouse. It's a romantic room of beautiful art made up with lightened and gathered memories.◎Entrance fee: 300yen, or Triennale Passport is available during the art festival. You can take pictures.
