At the end of our autumn travel in Hokkaido, we looked for somewhere to see near Shin Chitose Airport and found this lake. In fact, Utonai Lake is a sanctuary of wild birds such as Whooper Swan, which is registered under the Ramsar Convention. Wild swans were so close to me, I was very impressed! ◎Easy access by bus from Shin Chitose Airport. There's a parking area at nearby road station. By the way, if the wild birds come close to you, please don't feed them!
