Kuratake Shrine, which was built to pray for the safety of fishing, is located on the summit of Kuratake, the highest peak of the Amakusa Islands (682m above sea level). The calm waters of the Yatsushiro Sea and Ariake Sea and the islands of Goshoura spread out before your eyes. Climb the mountain road to the bottom of the shrine by car... Climb a few stairs and this view spreads out. It was so beautiful that I was at a loss for words.
