Senso-ji Temple

13 Reviews

Senso-ji Temple becomes so quiet and wrapped in a nice atmosphere at night, that the excitement of the daytime at Nakamise is not true. I found a very beautiful five-storied pagoda over the huge straw sandals at Hozomon Arch.◎A huge straw sandal is 4.5 meters tall, 1.5 meters in width, and 500 kg in weight. Since the first dedication in 1941, it's the eighth one. It expresses the power of Nio, the god in Hozomon Arch, and people say that the devil who sees the huge sandals fears and goes away...

Illuminated Tokyo Sky Tree is also attractive. From an observation terrace of Asakusa Culture And Sightseeing Center, you enjoy the night view of Tokyo Sky Tree and around that.

The National Museum Of Western Art

1 Reviews

Designed by a French architecture, Le Corbusier, it's 'a museum growing limitlessly'. There're many easy-understandable arts of Western collections for the permanent exhibitions, you can enjoy arts without difficulty.◎Access: just near the Koen-guchi (Park Gate) of Ueno Station. You can appreciate the popular Monet's great art 'Nymphéas (Water Lily)'. I think visiting from noon is more better.

Crispy dough and mild sweet houji tea cream. I love this combination of strawberry and houji tea, so I ate all of it like a flash.

We can eat parfait, shaved ice and pan cakes with seasonal high quality fruit. In this season, you should eat strawberry-comparison parfait with some kinds of strawberry. This photo is Christmas version.

Up to you coffee

uptoyoucoffe has just opened since this February. I like the inside interior with dried flowers. I ordered Scone Sand of Cherry Blossom Jam and Cafe Latte. The scone sand is sweet mildly and delicious. I felt relaxed with the lovely latte and its cup.

Shrines And Temples

Senso-ji Temple

13 Reviews

Asakusa is excellent with Kimono, Japanese traditional dress. Kimono looks beautiful at Senso-ji Temple and Edo-machi around it. In the season of New Year Days, Nakamise-dori is decorated with New Year ornaments, and we can enjoy happier atmosphere than usual.

Kuramae Shrine

3 Reviews

Besides mimosa and cherry blossoms, camellias are also in bloom. According to the official website of Kuramae Shrine, the type of cherry blossoms is unknown, and it seems that they are called "Kuramae Sakura"! The bright pink like a peach blossom was impressive.

Otori Shrine

1 Reviews

Otori Shine is the birth place of Tori-no Ichi Festival that is hold at the Cock days (one of the twelve daily signs) of November. Many people visit the shrine for rakes that gather the good fortunes and money in the coming year. Energetic hand-clapping and shouting 'business success' make me feel that I can really gather the good fortunes!
