Located at Yokosuka, Sarushima Island is a desert island, and the biggest and only site of fort in Tokyo Bay. There're battery sites and long tunnels built by red bricks. Fantastic scenery of lush nature covering the desert place is like a world of 'Laputa' in a Ghibli Movie 'Castle In The Sky'. ◎Almost all of the island is used as Sarushima Park now, and you can enjoy fishing, BBQ, sea bathing and so on. Access: Firstly, you need to go to Mikasa Pier. It's too far to walk from JR Yokosuka Station, but from Keikyu Yokosuka Chuou Station to the pier is only 15 min walk. Then, 10min by ferry to from Mikasa Pier to Sarushima, though there's only one ferry in one hour. I could see around the island in one hour!

The whole hill is fragrant with the azaleas. Though the park is usually quiet, many families, couples and friends enjoy flowers in this season. I like the scene of blooming flowers and smiling people.

About 2 hours from the city center, this hotel is reminiscent of Europe and all rooms have an ocean view. I was happy to eat breakfast in a room with a balcony overlooking the sea. The SPA in the hotel has a feeling of becoming one with the sea. A hotel recommended for anniversaries and rewards for yourself.

A rare brand beef that is a line of Tamba black cattle and grown by the original feed such as rice and tofu-lees only in this area. Its particular sweetness needs only salt and wasabi for seasonings. Meat lovers from outside Kanagawa get together to enjoy the beef at this scenic restaurant.

One and a half hours from the city center. A completely reserved villa on the hill of Sajima. The balcony, which is connected to the bedroom by open air, has a jacuzzi and you can see Mt. Fuji. You can cook in the state-of-the-art kitchen or have a BBQ in the vast garden.
