Among other world heritages, Iwami Ginzan Silver Mind is inconspicuous at first sight. But, if you want to see the attractions, Ookubo Mabu (a mine gate) Tour must be better! Such as holes with traces of digging and remains like terrace, you can see the scenes in Edo Period (between the 16-17th centuries) !◎The tour entries need to reserve beforehand, and meet at Iwami Ginzan World Heritage Center, then move to Ookubomabu by bus and on foot. Though you need to walk for a while, you can feel like to be a archaeologist. By the way, you can look Ryugenji Mabu without taking part in the tours.

At Kotobahama Beach famous for the crying sands, a cafe opens when summer comes. It was used to be a beach house. Swimming in the Japan Sea in front of your eyes, and gazing the sea from the cafe would be both good. Sometimes we can see dolphins. I like their pizza grilled in the oven offered only for weekends. On this day, we took two-thirds of the pizza to home.

They don't use animal-food. Their sweets made from body-friendly food are very tasty. Besides, there's a stream in the woods of Komejirushi, so we can enjoy walking around. Gungen-dou Honten is an old merchant house in Omori, a town of world heritage 'Iwami Ginzan'. Their 'Satoyama Omusubi Set' has rice balls made from rice boiled in earthen pot and rolled to good firmness not to break when you hold it. Wrap them with nori (laver sheet), ant eat together.

Gakuen-ji, standing at Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, is a best fall foliage spot in San'in Region. There're many Japanese maple trees, and in late autumn, its red carpets seen everywhere in the temple are wonderful.◎The best season is from the middle of November to the end of November.
