Taketomi Island's time passes slowly. Traditional red tiles, cute Shisa, coral fences and white sand street… All of them makes us happy! You can also find many photogenic places with flowers all the year around.◎Izumiya with lovely arch of Bougainvillea is an inn! Access to Taketomi: 10~15 min by ferry from Ishigaki Port. 1150yen for a round-trip.

Seeing a tasteful castle town, you can go around a moat on a donko boat. What with going through a narrow waterway and visiting stalls on water, about 70 minutes boat trip is full of good points to see.

It used to be a flourishing place for mining silver, and recently it is a popular hot spring resort where you can enjoy the old townscape. I was impressed by the beautiful cityscape more than I expected. Even if you don't stay, the car park is located about 5 minutes walk from the old town.

I recommend the place called Shidaikan Soukan as a scenic spot. When you go there, you have to walk mountain trails for approximately 20 minutes. But the great view is worth visiting. If you see it, your tiredness disappears soon.

Nihon Odori Avenue connects Yokohama Park and Zou-no hana Park. Sitting on the sidewalk café among the European retro avenue and buildings, you can enjoy the beautiful townscape. Higashi Chayagai District is the largest one of the three Chayagai Districts in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. There're beautiful houses with traditional wooden fences and red walls. And they're very photogenic with Japanese Kimono! You can also enjoy lunch and cafe at Higashi Chayagai.◎I recommend to use rental kimono shop and walk in Higashi Chayagai in Kimono. I rented kimono at 'Kokoyui' this time.

Gokayama Ainokura Village has some thatched roof-houses that are called Gassho Zukuri. It's registered as a World Heritage and the landscape from the observatory is just the original one of Japan. The village covered with snow, is breathtakingly beautiful even we see it many times.
