I went to Yodo Suiro Waterway to see the early cherry blossom called Kawazu Zakura in Kyoto city. It was so beautiful that I want to stay here longer. What's more, we can see the yellow canola flowers at the same time. There're few places to see Kawazu Zakura in Kyoto city, so you're encouraged to visit here!

Along the Minato River in Higashi Kagawa City, you can see as long as 350 meters row of Kawazu cherry blossom trees. The world of deep pink that make you feel spring earlier than other cherry blossoms, is must-visit!◎The best season is the mid of May. Access: 5min by car from Shirotori Ouchi IC, parking area is available at dry riverbed.

It's a well-known place where we can see cherry blossoms over the tunnel. When you get out of the tunnel, there're wonderful Kawazu cherry blossom trees. Bikes and cars run as usual, so please take them into consideration.

At the precinct called 'Cherry Blossom Shrine' since Heian period (in around 800), you can enjoy various cherry blossoms, such as early Kawazu-zakura and late Nioi-zakura, for as long as one month. Izu is famous for Kawazu-zakura. Because of the warm climate, they blooms early and we enjoy the many kinds of cherry blossoms for a longer time until May. 3 km Namiki Street is now in the peak time of 'Ookan-zakura'. The scarlet flower of aloe, a symbol of Izu, and pale pink cherry blossoms make a unique contrast seen only in spring.

Vivid color early cherry blossoms and deep yellow canola flowers of the peninsula reaches their best season in February.
