Well sold at handmade market, mitarashi dango (rice cakes with sweetened soy sauce) named 'Pan-dango'. This shop offers freshly grilled one on the original panda plate, which makes it cuter. Not only its cute looks, I recommend it because of the deliciousness.◎Open: only Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Only available while the stocks last. There're no seats, but you can eat freshly grilled soft ones. Also they have ordinary mitarashi dango.

Mamemono and Taiyaki on the 1st floor of Arashiyama Shoryuen, Kyoto. The taiyaki taken out here are royal custard and bean paste butter. The taiyaki dough is a whipped meringue dough that is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The characters "ma" and "me" are added to the front and back of the Taiyaki, which has a round shape, further doubling the cuteness. Come along with a break for sightseeing in Arashiyama.

Terakoya Honpo Arashiyama Togetsubashi store on the Arashiyama Togetsubashi side of Kyoto. What I received on this day was a gorgeous dumpling (right), right? Dango (left). The gorgeous dango is an autumn-like combination of chestnuts, purple potatoes, sweet potatoes, and black sesame seeds. An interesting naming mystery? The dango is pistachio chocolate framboise. Taking a picture with Togetsu Bridge in the background gives a good impression of Arashiyama.
