Kirozan Observatory

4 Reviews

I can't turn my eyes away from the scenery of Shimanami-kaido that suddenly appears in front of me! And also I recognized the design of this observatory was very refined. To my surprised, an architect known in the world, Kengo Kuma designed here. There's nothing that obstructs the view, but only handrails.◎Access: by bike or car to Oshima Island. Parking: available and free. Admission fee: free

Imabari Castle

4 Reviews

The Imabari castle is illuminated in warm-color and looks like floating. Of course, it's also good in daytime.

Sunrise Itoyama

2 Reviews

I bought at a stall. Green lemons grown in Iwaki Island make a nice degree of sourness. Non-oil. They say it's sold at a Kurushima Kaikyo SA.

Restaurants

Patisserie T's café TAMAYA

3 Reviews

I've found an ideal café for traveling in Hakata Island. Many variety of cakes make women happy. And, if the terrace seats facing to Seto Inland Sea are vacant, you're lucky! The sea and sweets make your SNS perfect!◎Access: 5min by car from Hakata IC of Shimanami Kaido Speedway. Two tables in the terrace. You can see the seascape beautifully from even inside. Parking lot is available.

Iyosuigun

Different from what I expected! Mix the sea bream sashimi and ground with yolk, then take them into a big mouthful with rice. You may say how many bowls of rice won't be enough.

Restaurant Mitsubachi

2 Reviews

Like a sunroom, it has pretty wooden walls and tables painted in blue. Customers wrapped in this pale blue, talk in lower voice naturally and seem to make themselves at home. The counter seats are special because you can enjoy your holiday while looking over the sea from here.

Shops

Limone

2 Reviews

A popular shop 'Limone' has a surprisingly delicious 'monaka (wafer)' with all new sense for me. Here in Omi-shima is a producing center of lemon. A chewy wafer and cold limoncello ice cream's refreshing sweetness and bitterness are superb! I want to buy up all of them in the shop if it's in summer now.

Saisaikite-ya

1 Reviews

They keep a wide variety of food harvested in Imabari. You can buy the tastes of the local foodstuffs such as a famous tangerine and so on.

ImabariaTowel Main Store

2 Reviews

The traditional Imabari towel is comfortable for use and good for skin. It's made in Imabari and a representative towel of Japan. The store sells about 25000 items of it.

Nagoma

Kurushima Strait in Seto Inland Sea, was the territory of Murakami Suigun that was admired as the strongest pirates in Japan's history. Horaku-yaki, which was said to be eaten at the party after their victory, contains a rich seafood grilled with salt, such as big sea bream, sazae (turban shells) and prawns. It's a dynamic local food excellent too much with alcohol drinks. I can get also the victory fortune!?

Oshima, belongs to Shimanami Kaido Route, has sweet and rich taste sea urchin egg grown in Miyakubo.
