Chirihama Beach as long as 8 km between Chirihama IC and Imahama IC of 'Noto Satoyama Kaido Sea Road' in Ishikawa. Its the only road in Japan, where we can drive a car on the sandy beach. I like the time during the sun setting to the Sea of Japan.

(Whiter than rocks of a rock mountain, an autumn wind)

Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum is located in Katsuyama Dinosaur Park. I thought children would like it, but its contents are genuine and new. There has laboratories and a stack room, and the specialists use them. Now, I think this museum is good for both grown-ups and children.

Minami Echizen Cho is proud of the biggest number of lotus flower production in Japan. In the large garden of 3300㎡, they grown 130 kinds of lotus flowers. The best season of blooming flowers is the beginning of July. In this season, a good fragrances of lotus flowers envelop the garden in the early morning.

Shomyo Waterfall has its source in Tateishi mountain range. Its drop is as high as 350m, famous as the highest in Japan. If it's the good time, Hannoki and Somen Falls appear close to the waterfall, you can see three falls at the same time.

Higashi Chayagai District is the largest one of the three Chayagai Districts in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. There're beautiful houses with traditional wooden fences and red walls. And they're very photogenic with Japanese Kimono! You can also enjoy lunch and cafe at Higashi Chayagai.◎I recommend to use rental kimono shop and walk in Higashi Chayagai in Kimono. I rented kimono at 'Kokoyui' this time.

The not-strong meat and tasty sauce are really delicious! At night, they hold a slide-show at the restaurant.◎For the mountain hut, you need to climb the mountain to arrive here! It takes at least one day even you're a good walker from Shin Hodaka Gate. Share a room with many other people for overnight stay.

In Ichijodani surrounded with rich nature, Asakura Site is a castle town where five generations of Asakura Family had ruled the Echizen Region for 103 years during the age of wars. In the restored town, you can enjoy walking around and seeing the old-time architectures like samurai houses.◎Near the Asakura Yoshikage Museum, the restored town, though it require the entrance fee, is nice to see the old time townscape. Within the limited terms, the direct bus was available from Eihei-ji Temple to Ichijodani Asakura Site.

As to dance, we images something gorgeous. But here, a festival in Yatsuo, Toyama Prefecture, people, who pull hats over their brows, dance silently at night with melancholy music. Though you may think it's a dark dance, you must be fascinated with the tasteful dance!◎The extra parking area is available for cars, then take a shuttle bus to the festival. But there'll be a traffic jam to park cars. 40 min walk from JR Ecchū Yatsuo Station. It's better for tourist to abstain from photoflash.

Tonami Plain is famous for the scenery of studded houses among the paddy fields. The paddy fields are filled up with water around May, then the houses look to be surrounded with water mirrors. All mountain climbers long for, Kumono-daira Tableland is located in the depth of Japan North Alps. It's called as 'the last trackless region in Japan', I was so fascinated with the dynamic expanse of flower fields, lava stones, and snowed fields!◎You need to climb the mountain from Oritate or Shin-hodaka Gate, and it takes more than 1 day even for good walkers! Yukinodaira Tableland has a mountain hut and a campsite. The mountain hut has a little water, you should supply the drinking water at the campsite.

We can aim for the beautiful reflection on Karikomi Pond in the early morning. The lively autumn colors around the pond, and winter mountain presence above it. Though it needs a little walk, you can enjoy both beautiful water-mirror and change of seasons at this photogenic pond!◎50 min trekking is required from the parking area. The roadway is narrow and there're some cars parking on the roadsides, so driving beginners should use taxi.

Kenrokuen Garden is a symbolic spot of Kanazawa, which has easy access for the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen Superexpress. For they often have light-up event in a year, I think it's good to visit during such events. I like especially autumn! I took the first pic in autumn, the second in winter. ◎The bus following a circular route from Kanazawa Station is useful!

A spring event in Fukui Prefecture, there're 140 lumps of Japanese candle on Atado-zaka and slopes beside. The stone steps are lit up and become visionary. At Asuwa Shrine on the top of the steps, 370 years cherry blossom tree are beautifully lit up!◎Event date in 2018: 3/31-4/15. Illumination time: 18:30-21:30

Goyakama is an area of a world heritage with Shirakawago. Suganuma area and Ainokura area of Gokayama are smaller than Shirakawago, but there are full of the atmosphere of secret countryside with the mountains standing very close! You can see the peaceful country scene of gassho zukuri architectures (historical thatched steep roof).◎Suganuma and Ainokura both have parking lot. There're bus from JR Johana Sta. and Takaoka Sta. but you need to confirm the bus timetable. The illumination date changes every year, so check out the web beforehand.
