We went here in the early December though, the autumn colored leaves was still in best to see because this year had late fall foliage. Colorful autumn leaves, a vermilion bridge, water surface with fallen leaves, everywhere we see is beautiful! ◎The parking area gets crowded so much, so it's better for you to give yourself plenty of time. In front of Okuni Shrine, there're some stalls to eat light meals.

The alleys with latticed walls and waterways make us feel like traveling to the old Edo Period (around 1600-1860). The castle town are lined with many long-established shops. You can touch the history and cultures of Hida Region.◎12min walk from JR Takayama Station. There're many toll parking areas.

One of the three sacred emblems, a sword of Kusanagi is enshrined here in old Atsuta Jingu. Around November, it gets crowded by cute children in their best clothes for Shichigosan (7,5,3years old children's ceremony), and a bride wearing Shiromuku (a white dress for Japanese traditional wedding).
