The best thing of Ashikaga Flower Park is this Great Wisteria. It was transplanted by the first Japanese woman tree doctor, thought to be over 150 years old, and spreads over a 600-tatami area! What's more, the wisteria flowers are beautifully lit up at night. Though you can't visit during the best season of the Great Wisteria, you can enjoy the pale pink, white and yellow ones.◎Ashikaga Flower Park Station, the new station of JR Ryomo Line, opened in 2018, and it takes 1 min on foot to the park. Parking area is also available.

Located at Tamba in Hyogo Prefecture, Byakugou-ji Temple is celebrated for the wisteria. You can see wisteria flowers blooming beautifully every year. At night, the wisteria are lit up, and makes very fantastic and beautiful scene. ◎Byakugou-ji Temple will get very crowded during the wisteria season, so it's better for you to visit with enough time. The 300-year-old wisteria trees at Nakayama Kumano Shrine cover the entire surface, and it is a spectacular view. It is lit up at night and has a fantastic view.
