Hikone Castle is a popular cherry blossom spot in Shiga. When the blossoms begin to fall, many rafts of petals appear on the moat and make the cherry blossom reflections more beautiful. If you want to take photos, after the lights-out is better than when it's lighted. There're less people and you can take the whole cherry blossom equally in your photos without going whitish. You're encouraged to come to Shiga!

The cherry blossom along Takatoki River is little known place and there're less people. We can drive through the road, and see the cherry blossom world through the window. In May, the cherry blossom is over though, we enjoy seeing Koinobori (carp streamers) here.

This park is selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom places in Japan, and its scenery of 600 Somei Yoshino Cherry Blossom trees is amazing! Double-petaled cherry blossom of Ikagu Shrine becomes best to see around Golden Week Holidays (holidays in early May in Japan), and we can see the beautiful cherry blossoms that have another attraction of Somei Yoshino Cherry. What's more, even after the blossoms fall, the ground becomes like a pink carpet. That's also beautiful♡
