Hikone Castle is a popular cherry blossom spot in Shiga. When the blossoms begin to fall, many rafts of petals appear on the moat and make the cherry blossom reflections more beautiful. If you want to take photos, after the lights-out is better than when it's lighted. There're less people and you can take the whole cherry blossom equally in your photos without going whitish. You're encouraged to come to Shiga!

Taga Taisha Shrine is lit up rhythmically with music. To release a shutter at the moment of your favorite colors, you can color the shrine as you like in the picture.◎Free parking area is available. Access by car is more convenient than other transportation. It'll be lit up till November 30th, but the stones and laser beam illumination can be see till October 8th.

Genkyu-en is a Daimyo Garden (gardens built by the lords of each region of Japan in Edo Period) belonged to the old Hikone Clan. The scenery of lighted Japanese garden with Hikone Castle, one of the five castles of national treasure, was very fantastic and worth seeing so much.◎15 min walk from Hikone Station. The parking area is available, but the night is dark, so be careful when you park a car.

Shimonada Station is well known as a scenic station which is the closest to the sea. It has appeared in movies and TV dramas. An open-air bath on the 1st floor of Renaissance Resort Naruto, is very open structure connected to the outside by the big windows. Taking a bath with the scenery of Naruto Strait Bridge is special.

Hoshinoya is known for its overwhelming extraordinary performances. Hoshinoya Fuji is a place where you can experience glamping in a slightly different way from a hotel.
