Miyama Thatched Village is a place where you can see the old Japanese scenery all around the year. The historical landscape including some traditional architectures has been conserved well, and it's designated as a national conservation district of traditional buildings. Beautiful hydrangeas welcome the visitors at the entrance of the village.

By bus from Kyoto, 50 min to Shuzan (change bus) - 30 min to Miyawaki (change bus) - 20 min to Kayabuki-no Sato. By car, 90 min from Kyoto city. Parking area is available.

With a narrow frontage and long depth, it's a cafe renovated from a traditional Kyoto-style house. With remains of rich-taste pudding and sweet caramel sauce, pour the coffee into my mouth... I love this moment. Croque-monsieur (hot sandwich of ham and cheese) with melting cheese if nice for branch.
