There're many lanterns all around the town and stalls of Chinese snacks at Nagasaki Lantern Festival. Many tourists come to see this event from all over Japan. It's held during Chinese New Year, from 2/5 to 2/19 in 2019. The lanterns are lighted from 17:00 to 22:00.

Glover Garden was registered as a world heritage in 2015. In Christmas season, it's lit up and has different atmosphere than usual! You can see the night Nagasaki city illumination.◎Parking area is available near here. But its better for you to go to Oura Tenshu-dou Shita Station, then walk to Glover Garden. I took these photos in 2012, it has become more gorgeous now for such as projection mapping.

Tour from Tokiwa Terminal (reservation required). Access to Tokiwa Terminal: 6 min by taxi, or 20 min by streetcar from Nagasaki Station. By car, 120 min from Fukuoka city, and nearby toll parking area is available.

Oura Church is the oldest church in Japan, and designated as a national treasure. In Christmas season, it's decollated with illuminations and lights up! You can see a beautiful church.◎Access: walk from Oura Tenshu-do Shita Station of streetcar. You can find a parking lot nearby. And, there're Glover Garden next to it and a famous Champon Ramen restaurant 'Shikairou' near here, so you can enjoy Nagasaki only in this area. On Christmas Eve, Christians get together and celebrate the Mass.
The night view of Nagasaki is chosen as one of the three new biggest night views in the world together with Monaco & Hong Kong. An observatory on Inasa-yama mountain is specially nice. Many sightseers visit here everyday.

At Sanno Shrine in Nagasaki, there're two big camphor trees standing magnificently though they were bombed. After the bomb, both trees had seemed to be like dead, but two years later, they had a miracle revival. They give us a strong power and courage.
