Gion in Kyoto. Hanami Koji Street is always crowded with tourists. I can tell you three shops with beautiful curtains (Noren in Japanese: it's hung at the outside entrance, so it means the shop is open). The night Hanami Koji Street is very beautiful.

Koudai-ji Temple's autumn illuminations. Red colored leaves reflected on Garyochi pond is like an art. Koudai-ji Temple was built by Nene, a wife of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, to repose of his soul. In the precincts, there is a Japanese tea room that is famous in connection with Sen no Rikyu.

I wore Hakama for the fist time and enjoyed walking around Kyoto. It was the late season of autumn colors, but I could see some beautiful scenes. I rented Hakama at a shop near Yasaka Shrine.

Montblanc specialty store in Kiyamachi. The Montblanc that comes out of a sea urchin with a custom-made machine is artistic. Its thinness is 1 mm. This store is very popular every day.

Coffee Shop Soiree

8 Reviews

A long-established retro coffee shop in Shijo, Kyoto. Soiree's popular menu "Jelly Punch" is fantastic with the shop's blue lighting. The window seats on the second floor are especially recommended.

Mugesanbou Salon de Muge

10 Reviews

A cafe produced by Michelin-starred Kikunoi. They're still lined up. I took a number ticket and went to Maruyama Park to view the cherry blossoms. Called after 40 minutes. A long-awaited strawberry parfait. A parfait with lots of strawberries inside. Some of the parfaits include rich milk ice cream made with milk that has been slowly boiled in half. You can also see the Japanese garden.
