This is the oldest one in Shiga and a main shrine of Shirahige shrines all over Japan. Its torii gate on the lake is famous and admired as 'Itsukushima In Oumi' (Oumi is an old name for Shiga). Also, the view of the Lake Biwa seen from the inner place of the shrine is breathtaking!
