About 30 minutes by car from Kochi city, there's an auberge at an unknown place, Tosayama. Over a suspension bridge from the main building, there's a villa as a suite room you can feel the warmth of wood and the nature. Without TV nor anything, you can experience the aesthetic of doing nothing and stay away from the bustle.

You can eat Kochi's specialty wara-yaki (grilled with straws) bonito grilled by yourself in front of the restaurant. It's popular to eat it with ponzu (vinegar and say sauce) but it's an expert way to eat bonito with salt in Kochi. Grate a Himalayas rock salt and try it out.

An auberge at Tosayama, an inner mountain in Kochi. Do nothing, but spend Tosayama-time. We feel relaxed with the warmth of firewood and the murmur of a stream, and it's happy to spend a time with books and music each in our own way. Their cuisine is also nice, and we enjoyed the perfect stay in Tosayama.

Tosa Aka-ushi is called rare wagyu because of the small amount of shipment. You can enjoy it in the Japanese style inn. Tosa wagyu that grows in the great nature in Kochi, has a good chewiness and the more you chew the meat, more juicy flavor comes out. It's the superb sukiyaki.

An open-air bath of a natural hot spring surrounded with the great nature of an unexplored region 'Ttosayama' in Kochi. Not only the effect for beautiful skin, it heals your mind and body in this nature energy. I want to take the bath many times while I stay here.

I was surprised at the quality of foodstuffs grown in Tosayama, an inner place of Kochi. Fresh vegetables, savory meat and surprisingly dense egg 'Tosa-jiro'. Almost all of them, even the seasonings, are made in Tosayama. We enjoyed wonderful dinner whose display also reminded us of the Tosayama scenery.
